Negative HPT, Positive Blood test?

Is this possible? I have gotten negative urine tests, both at home and at the dr, but I am waiting on a blood test. I don't think I am KU, but my friend is convinced that blood work can come back different.

    Why is your doctor doing a blood test? 

     

    Home pregnancy tests are extremely accurate.

    Actually it can happen, I know a girl who just last week found out she is pregnant from a blood test after very late af and negative hpts.  Not certain why this happened and I'm pretty sure it is rare.  Good luck!

    It is possible if you are very, very early into the pregnancy (but in that case, most doctors would wait to do the b/w).  It is not very likely.

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    My dr. ordered blood work because I have not had a period in 2 months. I am chalking it up to coming off birth control. But I just don't feel right. Reading about it, it looks like a negative HPT means low Beta levels which isn't good. Thanks guys!

    My HPT actually picked up my pregnancy before the blood work did.

    A friend of mine got negative HPTs for 4 months straight, but the blood work came back positive. So it can definitely happen.
