Just held LO if you are driving a mile or so away if your DH is driving instead of putting them in their carseat? I never have, because I wouldnt be able to forgive myself if something happened. But I have thought about it!
Umm no. I never would even consider it for 1 second. I work in medical claims for vehicle accidents. It doesn't take much to hurt/kill a person, much less a baby.
I had my girls out of the car seats once (well, twice for Alex). Driving through a national park near here which has a 20 mph speed limit. Both times I was still in the backseat with her/them. They couldn't see the animals outside in their seats.
I have thought "Man, wouldn't it be easier if..." BUT I've never really contemplated actually doing it. I would just be way too freaked out and nervous and would never forgive myself if anything happened.
Re: Have you ever?
Hell no!
Most accidents happen close to home. I would NEVER, ever risk it.
no
We did have someone show up to our house and get out of their car.....while the mom was wearing her DS in her bjorn. Crazy.
