Which girl's name do you prefer?

My husband and I love classic names.  We've picked our boy's name (Theodore "Ted" after a family member), but can't decide on a girl's name. 

I've always wanted Grace, but now I feel it's becoming the "Jennifer" of our time.  Clara and Tess are both favorites.  What do you all think?  We have a very normal last name, so any name goes.

Valerie - it was my grandmother's name.

Valerie - it was my grandmother's name. 

I voted Mae because I've always loved that name, but I just decided (after seeing your MN choice) that I don't like Mae Valerie as much as Clara Valerie.

Oh no. Valerie is not my middle name choice.  That was the first poster's middle name for her DD.

We are not sure about a middle name yet.  I love Clara.  I'm actually thinking Clara Mae. 

Theodora is pretty. But my DH is dead set on Theodore for a boy after his grandpa.  Thanks, ladies!

I stared at Clara and Eleanor for about five minutes before clicking on Clara. Can we go with Clara Eleanor? It's such a pretty combo and THAT'S why I clicked on Clara. I LOVE both names, especially Eleanor.

Oh man! I did put Mae twice. Meant to put Tess! Oh well. I am loving Clara Eleanor. Eleanor is my DH's grandma, which makes the name mean even more. Thanks, ladies!!! I think we have a girl's name!!!

OH, I'm so glad to hear this! It's a really beautiful name. 

Eleanor is probably rarely used as a middle name, as most people go with Grace, Mae, Faith, Claire or Kate.

You have a classic, unique name, that has meaning, and it's even spelled correctly!! Truly a great name!
