I've been taking the same PNV since I got my surprise BFP at 5 weeks. 2 weeks ago I got a migraine, took some Tylenol which didn't help, and went to bed early. After a few days I still had the headache and nothing was helping so I called my OB. The nurse told me it could be a sinus headache and to take Tylenol Sinus, Sudafed, or Benadryl. I got Sudafed Sinus Headache, took it for a few days and the headache was still there. It got so bad at one point that I actually got sick. I haven't had any m/s since week 8 and this was the first time I actually vomitted. Wednesday I woke up and the headache wasn't nearly as bad as it had been, I could take Tylenol and it actually helped for a few hours. Woke up Thursday and no headache at all!! I was so happy! It was finally over after 10 horrible days!
I have a small calendar hanging in my bathroom and every night when I take my PNV I put a check mark on that day. Thursday I realized that I had forgotten to take my PNV Tuesday night and Wednesday night. I decided to not take it Thursday to see if I would wake up pain free again. No headache Friday. We went out Friday night, got home late and I forgot to take it again. No headache yesterday. I thought about it last night and dicided to take one of the sample PNVs my OB had given me at my first appointment. I get up this morning and yep, another migraine. I was fine taking the PNVs for the 7 weeks before this, WTF is going on now???
I'm calling my OB first thing in the morning. I know the baby needs all the good stuff in PNVs, but is there something else I can take that wont give me the migraines? Anyone else go through this, or know someone who did have any advice? TIA
Re: PNV causing migraines???
No clue about your PNV causing the migraines but migraines are very common during PG. I have a couple a week and I know it is not related to my PNV(Target Up and Up brand). I had been taking my PNV the entire time we were TTC(10months).
Do call your OB and talk to her though.
