Do you always take a diaper bag?

I'm just curious on this one.  Do you take one with you every single time you leave the house or only if you'll be gone for a certain amount of time/over a feeding, etc?

  • I always do. You never know when an outfit will be suddenly ruined by an explosion of some sort.

  • I take it every time.  I figure, you just never really know what could happen.  What if the car breaks down or something and we're out longer then planned, KWIM?

  • I do just because I live so far away from everything.

  • I always bring  a diaper bag.

I have 2 diaper bags packed, one large and one small.  The small one just has 2 diapers, some wipes, and a nuk. That is what I bring if I am just doing a quick trip to Target or something.

  • To answer my own question...I don't take it with me food shopping or to Target.  Both are right down the road and even if he did need to be changed, I can be home in about 3 minutes.  Heck, I could walk if I had to :)  So if I wouldn't carry a diaper bag on a walk around our block, I won't take one to the grocery store that is equal distance.

  • I always do just in case.

  • I rarely carry a diaper bag. I keep a large ziploc with 2 diapers, a travel pack of wipes and a onesie in my purse along with my udder cover. I only bring the diaper bag if we're going to be gone all day.

  • Pretty much the only time I don't take it is when I take DD to preschool & we're coming straight back home. Though I RARELY need the bag at all, unless we're gone pretty much all day & need to feed him (I rarely even have to change him, my kids are odd, neither has ever pooped while out!)

  • The grocery store and Walmart are right across the street, I usually put her in a carrier and walk over.  So those times I don't bring the bag.  If I was going across town to the mall or to stop in and see coworkers I would.

  • Always! I bought a little wallet thing that holds my cell phone and my keys, and I just throw that into the diaper bag. Most of the time when I leave the house Riley ends up needing something! But she won't sit in a wet diaper for very long, so I'm changing her constantly :)

  • I don't even own a diaper bag anymore. I throw a few diapers, small case of wipes and an extra onsie in my purse and go.

  • I take it everywhere, however, if I am going into Wal Mart or Target and I am not going to be in there very long, I will leave it in the car.

  • Unless I only have my toddler with me, I always take my diaper bag. Poopsplosions, crazy spit-up, needing sunscreen or a toy to distract her or a clean paci -- it's just easier if I have those things on hand.

Plus, my wallet and phone are almost always in there anyway.

  • If we get in the car then the diaper bag goes too.  The only times I haven't taken the diaper bag was if I was just making a quick trip to the grocery store to pick some up or dropping off a movie.  I do have a little plastic container in my car that has an extra outfit, diapers, and wipes incase I needed them.   Plus I'm the type that will say I'm just running to Target and then will end up at Kohls, Old Navy, and fifty million other places.
