We are trying to decide the order of these names.  Do they both sound ok?

Alexander Elliot feels "stronger" but it is a LOT more common, and there are already several alex's with our last name.

I like Elliot a lot, and nobody has this with our last name.  My only fear is that it MAY be turning into a "girl's name" and may be seen as weak.

Opinions?  Other names/suggestions?

My vote goes to Elliott Alexander. I'm not a fan of Alexander, because I really don't like the nicknames associated with it (Alex, Xander).

You're right that Elliott is being used on girls now and doesn't seem quite as "strong" of a name, but I don't think it is a name that will be completely taken over by girls like some of the others. It has never even "hit the charts" (top 1000) for a girl. I think most people still consider it a boy name. I guess this could change, but that's just my opinion.
