in feburary our lease is up and we want to move. just for the adventure and change of scenery really. some of our top picks are Colorado, Florida, Ohio. Florida and Ohio we have family and friends. Colorado just sounds really nice. we really like the sound of Cali too but from what i know the cost of living there is pretty high.we are looking for something where the cost of living isnt too bad and theres a lot to do. we don't have anything set in stone but we should start working on it. i was hoping some of you could either recommend your city and state and what you love about it, what the cost of living is, maybe why you chose to live there. also what the job market is like... tia.
I love living in Florida. It doesn't cost too much for me to live here and there is tons to do. But sadly we're moving to Virginia Beach soon. I'm happy for the change of scenery but sad to leave most of my family. GL!

We just moved from Cali to SE texas because the cost of living is so high. We lived in Southern California, and in our area a 1 bedroom apt. in a crappy part of town would cost you $1500. Not to mention gas is over $3 a gallon. The job market wasn't that great. Again I am talking about So Cal. So it depends on where you are willing to live.

I absolutely love SC, Greenville has a young vibe, awesome downtown and a very high population of engineers. Cost of living is super low! I lived in Manhattan for a bit so everything else seems low to me! I'm from Florida and live it there too but Greenville is close to mountains and beach!

We just moved from Charlotte, NC....which I HIGHLY recommend (we only moved to the NE because DH got a really good job opportunity and we are closer to my family). It's an amazing place to raise a family. There's lot of great family activities and as long as you aren't in real estate or finance, the job market is decent. We also had family in Greenville SC and it's also a fun city and a great place for families. The Raleigh area of NC is a big favorite with families and has a really strong job market too. Can't beat the weather in NC/SC either!
I live in the burbs south of Denver. It has everything you'd expect from a big city...sports teams, museums, zoo. The night life is nice. Of course, I am just minutes from the Rocky Mountains and that is just fantastic. In my area the schools are pretty fantastic. Actually money magazine just rated my neighborhood as one of the top small towns (11th I think). Everyone here in Denver is pretty active and Colorado is one of the healthiest states in the Union (at least as I remember hearing based on obesity and stuff). It's pretty fantastic. Oh, and like 300 days of sunshine a year, 4 seasons and skies that are blue most of the time! I think the job market depends on your industry. There is a lot of technology here and banking/mortgage stuff. There is definately affordable housing around too! GL choosing and look me up if you come!
