This weekend is a "girls weekend" that I have been looking forward to all summer. 

My dad and brother went out of town on a motorcycle trip, so my mom, SIL and I made appointments for mani/pedis & haircuts this afternoon, then we plan to go back to my parents' house and hang out for today and tomorrow, in and out of their brand new hot tub, which was JUST installed this week.

Well, my brother came over last night to tell me that SIL won't be able to go in the hot tub because, of course, she is KU.  

I was so looking forward to this weekend, and now I don't even know if I want to go.  I hate that I feel this way.  I am happy for them, but I haven't even had a chance to process this news, and now I'm supposed to spend the weekend with the FH.

    Ugh...I'm sorry.  If you decide to go, enjoy a drink or two while in the hot tub!  {{HUGS}} to you.

    Oh no, sweetie, I'm so sorry. That completely sucks. I know to others (who haven't had a loss) that wouldn't be a big deal, but I know how hard it must be for you.

    Do your mom or SIL know about your loss? If so, can you talk to one of them about how you feel? Surely they would understand if you don't want to spend the whole weekend with them. Maybe you can do something nice for yourself, like a movie or shopping. Otherwise you could fake a bad headache and at least get out of part of it.

    Thanks ladies.  They both know about our loss, so I know I could talk to my mom about it and I know she would understand if I didn't want to go/stay.  But I want to go.  But I don't.  Ugh, I have no idea how to feel right now.  Can this weekend just be over???
