I've been having really bad anxiety issues lately, so much so that I made an appointment with my OB so I can get on some meds (I had PPD/PPA with Libby, too).
I mean, I'm so anxious I sleep maybe only 3 or 4 hours a night. I have really bad social anxiety and going on trips to the store or Wal-mart are starting to become more scarce because I am having crippling thoughts.
Anyways..so my confession is that I just took (ok like half an hour ago) 200 mg of Benadryl so I can sleep tonight. I am desperate, beyond desperate. I NEED SLEEP, yo.
Luckily DH agreed to wake up with Lucy and Libby if need be.
Flame awayyyy.
Re: My tardy to the party FFFC
Sorry you have been feeling anxious but I am glad you are taking steps to do something about it. I don't mean the benadryl either! LOL
And why are you stealing a line from BSC Kim from Housewives of Atlanta? That woman and her wig have issues
LOL umm, I totally didn't mean to. I don't want to mimic that trashy hoe-bag in any way
And FWIW, I googled diphenhydramine and Wikipedia told me that it was also a anxiolytic (umm sp??) so it helps with anxiety some...even if it sedates the crap out of me in the process
I could never flame you...but buy some Tylenol PM...works better!
That was the name of her "song". I started to worry about you when I saw the title. hahaha
This works wonders for making you sleepy. Warm up some milk, add some rum and sugar. It is yummy and will knock you out. I swear it will.
::Runs to the liquor cabinet to see if Captain Morgan is available::
And...he is! Woot! I will try that. Thanks MCC.
Umm don't drink it with the benadryl...
Ohhh Sassy..you're ruining my fun.
This isn't as much fun as a remedy with rum in it, but I swear by Calms Forte. You can find it at health food stores/whole foods/etc. it is a Hylands product, like teething tablets.
Depending on how much you take it at least helps with anxiety and at best helps with anxiety AND helps you sleep. The great things about it are that it is safe for bf/pregnancy (dunno if you bf...but in case you do), not habit forming, and if you are asleep and NEED to wake up, you won't be drowsy like from benedryl.
Glad you are getting help. I have more social anxiety since about halfway through my pregnancy. It isn't terrible but it is more than I'm used to and any little bit sucks.
