Annoying vent

Nothing drives me more batty, than people who don't understand that because you have PCOS, and you suffered a loss & your upset because the amount of time it might take to concieve again - just tell you to just consider adoption.

I am all for adoption every child should have a home. But telling me adoption would be better for my well being than having my own child naturally.

Batty I say.. Batty.

    Agreed. What I really like is how it's put like adoption is something easy. That has to be the worse i've heard yet, and there's been some bad ones.

    Yes  I hate hate hate that!  I have absolutely nothing against adopting but the "why try so hard?  Just adopt!" crap is douchey.

    I agree...I hate how people think that adoption is so easy...You just decide to adopt and :poof: a child shows up at your house...That is what drives me batty about it all...

    Hmm@ that persons thought process. And I agree, it's really sad that there are so many children waiting to be adopted, but I don't think she processed that thought before she said it....at least I hope.

    I agree!! After our loss we had adoption mentioned more than a few times to us! I'd really like them to stop and think about how difficult it is to adopt!

    I'm so sorry. I struggle with that for a couple reasons.

    It's rude, just point blank flat out rude. People should never comment on if someone should try to have children or adopt.

    "Just adopting" is retarded it isn't easy and can be a lengthy process. I also don't think that it should be a consolation price or something that is done as a back up. Those children are just as important as any other, and it should be viewed as something just as meaningful (I understand that it isn't the same at all, but it should still be meaningful) as pregnancy and childbirth and taken just as seriously.

    I'm sorry you have to put up with dumb people that make very rude comments and are totally oblivious about it.  :(

    I can't stand it either. I'm blessed to not have PCOS but I still get those types of comments. Adoption, IVF, give up, etc!

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]
