TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

This is a bad project for me

Next week we have 230 2nd graders coming to an organization I volunteer for.  I'm typing up name badges for each of them.  I'm finding new names I like and keep envisioning using them.  My new favorite is Eli.  There is one little boy named Blazyn and I don't think I'll be choosing that name.

Re: This is a bad project for me

  • I do the same thing with our student lists.

    My favorite: Cecily

    Absolutely not: Vix'n

  • I work in an inner city so most of the kids I have are names I've NEVER use. I think a pale white child would look funny being named Shaquay, TaJanae, Ezekiel, the list goes on and on... I did decide I really like the name Owen.

  • I do the same thing.  Picking names, planning the nursery, figuring out daycare...yeah I don't put the cart before the horse ever.

Me too!  There are very few names I can tolerate at this point.

  • Oh, and I'll love a name, and then I'll get a kid with that name, and if they're not well behaved, it just ruins it for me.  So a lot of names get thrown out of the window that way.

When I was teaching I did the same thing.  We got Miller's name from a little boy I taught.  He was the sweetest little boy, had a great heart, super creative, just an all around awesome kid.
