TTC After a Loss

**jms2005**

Thanks for the p4 info! I appreciate it!I thought it was weird too so I did some reading and I will wait until I confirm ovulation before I go.

Does it need to be 7dpo to get the info I want?

Thanks again!

  • 7dpo should give you a good starting point. If it seems low, you can always ask for more b/w.

My new doctor is a bit of a progesterone expert, so she likes to do b/w at 7, 9, and 11dpo. Progesterone levels can fluctuate from day to day, so it gives you a better picture if you do multiple draws.

Oh, and keep in mind that "normal" doesn't necessarily mean you have good progesterone levels. The normal range is 2-18, but most REs like to see at least 10 on a non-medicated/non-pg cycle. Anything over 5 means you probably O'ed, but if it's less than 10 I would push your doctor on it. I found out after three losses that the pro level my doctor said was "fine" was actually only 6.4. GL!

ETA: The doctor that told me 6.4 was normal is my old OB, not the new doctor I'm working with. :)
