Prayers and thoughts needed!! Anyone have any insight?

Well my doctor called today and said that my levels are still not doing well.. the next steps are to have another blood screening on Monday and maybe an ultrasound next week but they dont sound very hopeful.

 My hcg levels were:

8/23: 99

8/25: 165.6

8/27: 229.9

 Does anyone have any insight? He said my progesterone was very good. Im trying to be positive but very hard when the doctor says they are very concerned.

Why did they say your levels aren't doing well, and what are they concerned about? I know they're supposed to double every 48-72 hours..and your's are still going up a lot each time..It's a good thing that your progesterone levels are good..

He said that levels not going up usually means a m/c. He said there could be many reasons that they arent doing well. Between the first and second it at least went up 66% but the second and third it only went up like 33%. Its been very scary and the doctors seem sure I will miscarry.

Slow rising levels can also indicate an ectopic pregnancy, which if left untreated can be dangerous.  I wish you luck and I hope it all works out.

FYI - if you haven't already done it, there are beta calculators online (google).  You can enter your numbers and dates and calculate how far off they are from the norm/avg range.
