Thinking about buying some diapers for the first time

I got a 20% off of diapers from amazon with free shipping (in the parent's magazine if you want to get the coupon too)

I was wondering if its too soon to buy diapers? Also if i do should i get new born, size 1, or size 2? Also which brand? What is difference between the brands of diapers?

Dh and I talked about doing both disposables and cloth diapers.

I don't have any advice on disposables, but in regards to CDs, you really can't go wrong with some basic Bum Genius pockets with velcro tabs.  They seem to work for almost everyone and are very easy.  Also, instead of disposables, you might want to look at a hybrid system like Flips (they have disposable and cloth inserts), Grovia, or even gdiapers.  Take the time to do some research and find some people that use them to get some reviews.  Cloth diapering seems overwhelming at first, but it's SO easy- and fun!  Yes, I just called diapering fun, lol.  GL!
