XP from TTTC: My DD is in surgery (fertility issues mentioned)

For those of you that don't know - I have a DD who is 19 years old, but of course she's still my "baby" and I am beside myself right now. 

It started with her having very bad abdominal pain yesterday.  She called me at work and I told her to call the dr, of course they couldn't fit her in, so my mom took her to a med express.  They thought it might ber her appendix, so they told them to go to the ER.  DH left work and picked her up and took her to the Children's Hosp across town - I met them there.  We went there b/c we thought it was her appendix.  They did a u/s and a CT scan, bloodwork and a urine test (they wanted to make sure she wasn't KU - oh the irony)

They said they thought it was either her appendix or a ovarian torsion - that her ovary was twisted.  Well, after all the tests they determined it was neither of those things.  Instead they found that she has an ovarian cyst the size of a small apple on her left ovary!!!!! 

So they admitted her last night and they are doing surgery now.  Best case scenario is that the surgeon will "take the roof off of the cyst" (his words) and drain it.  She was sick to her stomach during the night and so they are also worried that her ovary might have started to twist.  If it's just twisted, he will untwist it and watch it and also do the above draining. 

The worst case scenario is that the ovary twisted and the blood flow is compromised and they will thenhave to remove her ovary.  They said they would try to save the tube.  I am out of my mind, beside myself thinking of that possibility. 

So if you wouldn't mind she and I could use all the spare prayers you have.

    Oh no!  I will definitely keep her and your family in my T&Ps.  I have had cysts that big, and they can make you feel so terrible and sick.  I am hoping it is just the cyst and it can be removed without any issues.  (((hugs)))

    Oh, I am so sorry that you and your daughter are dealing with this.  I hope things turn out as best as they possibly can. T&P are with you.

    October 2015: IUI#3 - BFP on Nov 2, 2015! *stick baby stick!*

    IUIs: Gonal-F + Ovidrel + b2b IUI= BFNs
    IVF with ICSI= BFP! EDD 11/25/11
    3/18- Beta #1 452! 3/20- Beta #2 1,026!! 3/27- First u/s- TWINS!
    Our twin boys arrived at 36w5d due to IUGR and a growth discordance

    FET: Medicated FET moved up to 5/23 due to ovulation
    Transferred a 6BB hatched blastocyst- genetically normal female embryo
    BFP! 5/28- 5dp6dt      
    6/1 Beta #1- 223! 6/3 Beta #2- 567!
