Please rec your childbirth classes!

We had ours scheduled, but I'm also going to school this semester and had to re-do my schedule, which now interferes with the childbirth classes. Not sure where else to look. TIA!

I took my birthing classes through St John Hospital.  They had them at various locations, so I just picked the location closest to my home.  Where are you located?

Sterling Heights... signed up at Beaumont, but there are 4 classes! Seems like a lot to me. Or you can do 2 Saturdays for 6 hours each day.

I signed up at Beaumont and dropped out after the first week. It was a waste of time for me. I learned more reading books on my own. I'm fairly confident that anything we would have learned in the 3 classes we missed wouldn't have been helpful during delivery. I could barely remember my name, nevermind how to breathe a special way. Everyone is different though. Sorry I can't be more helpful, GL in your search.

I agree with pp- we went to two classes and then had the baby early, so we missed the last two.  I didn't feel like I really learned anything new- and yes, during delivery, trying to remember how to breathe and imagining a "happy place" were really the furthest things from my mind!
