Excited and sad at the same time

DH and I are traveling to VA tomorrow to visit my BF from college.  She and her husband just a a beautiful baby girl on Aug 3.  I am so excited to see her and her baby, but I nervous for what type of loss feelings I am going to experience.  This will the be the first newborn that DH and I will see since our loss, and I am not quite sure how it will go.  I am hoping my excitement and love for my friend smothers any jealous, sad feelings I have been having.

    I know how you feel. I am heading up to work Monday to set up my class room who has an 8 month old.  I have spent time with her before but this is the first time I will see a baby after my loss, and I must admit I am rather nervous.

    I hope it goes well for you. My first newborn experience was actually really positive for me and I was glad I got it over with. It made all the next ones go much easier. Good Luck.

    I'm always nervous about being around newborns too-just try to be happy for your friend. Way easier said than done, I know. Good luck hon.

    I know how you feel. I have a friend that had her baby a week after my first m/c. I couldn't bring myself to go see her for a few weeks, and she understood.

    Seeing the baby wasn't too difficult for me though - I was quite happy for her.

    I just experience the same situation with my BF and it went very smooth for me. I was sad for like a second and then was just really happy for her and her husband. Hope it goes well!

    Good luck! My sister is about to give birth any day now so I know how you feel. I'm very excited for her and can't wait to meet the new baby but I know I will feel slightly jealous.
