NTTCALR: Pork Chops

Hi girls.  I have boneless pork chops in my fridge and I want to make them for dinner but have no idea what to do with them.  Anyone have any good and fairly easy pork recipes?

Re: NTTCALR: Pork Chops

  • I love cooking pork chops because they can be so easy!

In a pinch, I just lightly sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper and italian seasoning (or sometimes just salt and pepper).  Throw them in a pan to cook on each side.  Viola!

Another easy one I like is maple syrup (weird I know) and rosemary.  Usually I put some italian seasoning in that one too.  Slice up some apples or pears and maybe sweet onions and pan sear them with the chops.  Good stuff!

    I'm hungry now!! :)

  • I typically marinate pork chops in some kind of mango or pineapple salsa, then grill them.  Top with some extra salsa and serve.  It's yummy!

  • You are both awesome!  I want to make them right away so probably won't have time for the marinade to soak in but I will definitely be writing this down for next time.

Salt, pepper and italian seasoning it is :)

I started out making the recipe at the link below.  It was delicious but a bit time consuming so the second time I made it I just used a jar of mango salsa.  I'm lazy like that. Wink

  • My go to pork chop recipe is to mix some bread crumbs with Mrs Dash garlic and herb, parm cheese and salt and pepper.  Then I lightly coat the pork chops with the bread crumbs, spritz with oil and bake.  Cheaper and easier than shake-n-bake!  I do this with chicken too which makes a really good chicken parm.

  • Ok here is our fav.  Drizzle some olive oil in a pan, get it hot.  Sear the chops until they are golden on each side.  Remove them from the pan.  Mince some fresh garlic (I used around 6 or 7 cloves) and saute it in the hot pan.  Mix together some cabernet sauvignon (4tbps) with brown sugar (2 tbps), rosemary, soy sauce (1tbsp) and red pepper flakes.  Dump the mix in the pan, re add the chops and cook (simmer covered) for around 35 min.  Mix 1 tbsp corn starch with water.  Remove chops, add corn starch and cook until reduced to half.  Serve with white rice and top with the pan gravy.  YUM... ok it sounds a lot harder than it is!
