How early is too early to test???

Hi, my name is Cris.  I'm hoping to join this board.  Me & my husband have been trying since December of 2008 to have a baby.  We've had 2 mc, one last year this time & one in Feb this year.  I took a test a couple of days ago & it was negative.  I'm expecting AF Monday 9/30...when should I try again?  What's the earliest people have been getting a positive?  I'm keeping my fingers crossed this month!  I know it must sound crazy but we just started trying about 2 months ago again and I'm anxious to know.  BTW, congrats to you all

I tested 5 days before my period was expected which was 9dpo and got a postitive. But that's really rare. I had a m/c last month and didn't get my posititive test result until 3 days AFTER my period was expected.

Do you know when you ovulated?

Are you charting and know when you ovulated?  If so, here is the HPT accuracy chart:

Percentages: (Based on a 25mIU sensitive test)
10 dpo : 35%
11 dpo : 51%
12 dpo : 62%
13 dpo : 68%
14 dpo : 74%
15 dpo : 80%
16 dpo : 88%
17 dpo : 92%

I tested Friday with my period due on Monday...so 3 days early. And the + was not faint either, so I know I could have tested a day earlier at least.

Unfortunately I do not know when I ovulated...I'm not really doing the charting thing, even though I should.  I think it had to be some time the week of the 15th...With my last 2 pregnancies I only tested a couple days before I expected AF & they were positive.  I think I'm just anxious & rushing it.  I guess I'll have to wait until next week.  Thanks.

AF was due today, I took a FRER test Sat morning=negative, took another FRERTuesday morning=faint, but there. Wednesday morning= 2 VERY VERY VERY faint dollar store tests, I had to go buy another test(Answer brand) to be sure. Wednesday afternoon=dark and clear positive. GL

My period was due on a Monday and I tested on the Friday before. I used First Response and the line was really faint. I test again on Saturday and it was still faint but a bit darker. And on Sunday I bought a cheap one and it came back loud and clear. Good luck to you.

I tested early got nothing with FR then testing day of with CVS brand and got BFP....and then another BFP the next day (just in case ; )  )

I got a positive IC, FRER and digital on 10DPO with SMU.
