My child is a beast when she's sick

Dear god, why can't she just lay around and do nothing like most kids?  She is way over the top high maintenance.  I need to be at her side every single second.  She cries if I tell her I need to go to the bathroom.  The poor dog wants to lay by her because she knows she's sick.  She keeps screaming at me to get her out of there. I'm not sure how she can yell with a throat as infected as hers is, but she is managing nicely.
