    Sorry I posted and ran - had to call the parents and the dr, etc and then get to work.

    I did finish it.  The part where they were living in that shack in VA killed me.  Eating lard sandwiches.  Poor things.  And the parents pissed me off so bad - dude, get a job so your kids have clothes and food and proper beds.  It was a rough read.  What did you think?

    I know, it was really hard to read. It was truly amazing to me how brilliant they all were. The part where she made her own braces blew my mind.

    Yeah, that was pretty amazing.  That 3/4 of them seemed to turn out well is a testament to the strength of the human will.
