TTC After a Loss

CBEFM question

Soooo, I am on month 2 using the FM.  Last month at this time I had received two days of "high" by now. Today is CD 13.  I had 6 or 7 high days last month.  And didn't get a "peak" until CD 18.

I know the monitor starts working differently as it gets to know your body/cycles.  Could it no longer call these readings "high" because it now knows what reading "high" looks like before the "peak" reading?

I married to a man who travels 3 days a week, so trying to use my crystal ball to make sure he is home at the right time really stinks.  I am really hoping I don't have as many "high" readings this month and that I ovulate close to the same day (if not sooner).

Re: CBEFM question

  • Yep, you should start getting fewer and fewer highs each month.  After 16-ish cycles I usually only get one or two highs now before the peak.  At other times I have gotten as many as 10 days of high, which is no help at all.  GL!

  • The best way to start using the CBEFM is to chart for the first few times you use it to make sure your O time matches what the CBEFM says.

Agreed.  I still chart along with it (obviously) and it has really helped since sometimes I have had O the day of the first peak and sometimes not for 3+ days after.

  • I just got my CBEFM and started using it today. But i do remember reading in the booklet something about your first cycle will have the most high days.....

In the first cycle the Monitor will need to get to know you. It is possible therefore that you may get more than 5 High Fertility days prior to Peak Fertility in this cycle. Don't worry, from cycle 2 on  the Monitor will reduce this for the majority of women to between 1 and 5 High Fertility days.
