Boston Babies

What are you feeding your baby?

Hi Everyone,

What do you feed your babies? I have a 13 month old and I feel like all I give her is chicken nuggets or rotisserie chicken. I work full time so need to have food ready for the nanny to give her. I like to give her a protein, carb, and fruit at lunch and dinner. Any feedback would be appreciated.

 Thanks,
Kathy

  • here's what my now very picky eater lived on during the months when he still ate everything!

ground beef mixed with rice and pasta sauce (like the inside of a stuffed pepper?) or mixed with tiny pastina and pasta sauce

pre-cooked organic chicken breast with a mashed veggie (squash, sweet potato) and rice

beef stew and chicken cacciatore and stuffed shells (I used to hide veggies in the shell filling before he figured that out) can be pre-cooked and then frozed in small servings

black beans, corn, cut up tortilla, mild salsa

homemade chicken/turkey soup- carrots, celery, onion w/ rice or pastina and leftover rotisserie chicken in a little chicken broth

     Hope that helps!

  • my kid is pretty picky, he's a huge cheese/ carb fan.  so, mac n cheese, pizza, grilled cheese.  in the morning he loves pancakes, waffle or bagel with a banana or cantaloupe and a turkey sausage.   he just recently started liking humus on pita bread also.  good luck!
