You're basically mixing fruit, milk (whatever kind) and spinach. I know the spinach sounds crazy but it doesn't taste like spinach when it's all mixed up. I thought it was so weird until I tried it. The only thing is that it's not super sweet, so if you're used to that you might want to sweeten it a little. It's really filling for me but if you want more staying power you can add a protein powder. I personally use:
1 cup almond milk (skim milk is fine)
1 1/2 cups frozen berries (un-sweetened)
2-3 cups raw baby spinach
Optional:
1 T flaxmeal (Ground flax seeds. Again, sounds a bit weird but it has Omega-3 and fiber)
This looks delicious!!! What a funny coincidence... I just started following up Angela's blog, "Oh She Glows"... she's a vegan ( I am not) but I found her recipes, especially her breakfast overnight oatmeal delicious!! https://ohsheglows.com/

I love Oh She Glows! I started reading a lot of healthy living blogs about a year ago and all of the great ideas out there have been so helpful. Have you seen Gina's breakfast cookie at The Fitnessista? It's a pretty similar idea to overnight oats but in a compact, harder form.
So I need a healthy breakfast smoothie recipe. I am not a huge fan of yogurt but I do love skim milk. Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Hi chaase - I make really easy breakfast smoothies with yogurt -- but I really don't taste the yogurt, it just gives it a nice smooth consistency. It's really simple -- something like a cup of yogurt, a generous handful of fruit (say, 5 large frozen strawberries, or a cut-up banana), and some OJ (as much as you think you need to get it to the right consistency for you, probably less than a cup). Blend and that's it. Good luck!

I love the bags of frozen fruit that you get at the grocery store, and mix them with milk, and a little protein powder in the am. Super good and easy!
