s/o on the food posts

Do you eat your meals with LO? We have always done meals separately from DD. We usually eat when she's napping and we eat dinner after we put her down for the night. She almost never sees us eating! So, I think we should start eating meals together. DD is not a good eater right now - she refuses to have us feed her and she throws all finger foods on the floor. I am just wondering how this works for everyone else.

Dh eats breakfast with her since it is one of the only times they see each other during the week. We two highchairs- one attaches to our table. S only eats finger food so she and DH normally eat the same thing together.

I feed her snacks on her own twice a day. Usually she and I eat lunch sitting down together.

She doesnt always do dinner if we eat after she goes to bed.

I sort of feel like we honor the "family table" during meals at this stage with her. She eats proper meals with us and we sit at the table. The rest of her table food she grazes much the same way that I do during the day. Often it means that if I am cooking I will give her some veggies or fruit while I work or if I am snacking she will eat with me.

We always have dinner together as a family. I eat my breakfast and lunch with DS as well and if DH isn't working he joins us as well. DS gets jealous watching us eat if he doesn't have anything and I think that's why he's been so good with finger foods. Maybe try having meals together it might make your LO's food issues better.

We always eat our meals together as a family at the kitchen table. Even before DD was on solids she spent dinner in her high chair at the table with us. Snacks happen on the go as she is playing or we run errands. She will sometimes refuse to eat if we are not eating with her.
