Would this be completely silly?

DH and I can't think of ONE girl name we love. We named DD the only two names we loved - so would it be completely horrible to use DDs mn as little sisters first name? 

We laughed about it last night because we know how uncreative and silly it is but we are having such a hard time. We like Ellie but it sounds ridiculous with DDs first name so that had to go. We liked Kinley but that has worn off. So we're back to the drawing board.

There was a post quite a while back asking this same question with baby London Noelle, I am not sure what they decided on but it didn't seem like everyone thought it was silly, I remember there being contemplation on changing her mn to use it for the new baby, again, don't know if they decided on anything, she is still around and posts though so she may see this and give a better answer then what I have.

My parents were in the exact same situation with my brothers, and they decided it would be too unfair to the older brother to "steal" his name and give it to the younger brother.

My husband's first name is his older brother's middle name. It doesn't seem odd to me at all--obviously you chose the name the first time around because you truly loved it, using it again seems natural.

I don't think it is too strange.  Along the same lines, my friend has 3 sister and they all 4 share the same middle name.  I also have a good friend that had twins and unfortunately they both were still born (horrible horrible story).  Anyway, they had named them obviously and they still had birth certificates and death certificates with their names on them, and she ended up naming the son she just had the twins names for his first and middle name.

I love that name! It would depend on what her middle name was as to if I would encourage you to use, it, but assuming it's as good a name as Noelle, I don't think it's a big deal to use it for DD2.
