RE and IVF appt this afternoon

I am on pins and needles! Excited and scared at the same time. I haven't spoken to my RE since June. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I should ask, I am all ears. (Ty Schen for your help yesterday). I hope I don't have to go through all sorts of bloodwork and tests again. So how does this all start? What should I expect? I can't believe I am going to stick myself with needles again! This is going to be a long afternoon of waiting for the appointment.

I was really surprised at how quickly everything moved once we met with the RE. Maybe it's just because my OB had a very 'mellow' approach to ttc.

Our doc went over our options (basically IVF and ttc on our own). The only question I asked him was, "If I was your daughter, what would you tell me to do?"

Our nurse went over everything is such detail that I really didn't have any protocol questions. Of course DH has been calling her every other day since with a new one but that's what I love about my nurse... I have someone assigned to deal with my crazy.

We also set up an apt to talk with their financial consultant. I really don't think they're going to have 'hidden' costs... I mean, they may not be obvious and that's where the consultant can help you figure out actual costs, but ours was very upfront about total OOP expenses.

Oh, and most of those tests are good for a minimum of 6 months. There were several I didn't have to do again because of that.

I would basically just expect to sit down and discuss the options.  Depending on how recent your blood work is...you may only have to give a vial or 2.  Hoping it is super easy for you...and please update us!

Good luck at the appt.  Just make sure you understand what you need to do to get started and who to contact if you have questions and definitely ask to meet with the financial people - alot of RE's have package plans that I think are worth it.
