Baby names

I am very neurotic and nervous about this pregnancy, so my husband is doing a good job keeping me positive. That's the first thing my husband asked me about when I got the BFP. Anyone have names in mind?

Re: Baby names

  • Well we know our middle names. We'll be using Gunnar for a boy or Suzanne for a girl. Those are my in-laws family names :)

  • Loading the player...
  • 99% sure our boy name is Colin.

We also like Evan, Grant, Graham, Ezra, Jack, Connor, Luke, Sawyer...

For girls, we like Eliza, Emilia, Lauren, Hannah, Olivia, Ana, Annika... and about 10 more.  haha

I loooove the name Jack! May have to "borrow" that one from you if you go with Colin. ;)

  • If we have a boy or a girl, likelihood is that their name will be Mateo or Matea. Mateo would likely have the middle name Paul and Mateo would likely have the middle name Lourdes or Isabel. So, Mateo Paul or Matea Lourdes or Matea Isabel. (Paul is my dad's name and Lourdes is my mom's. Isabel is my grandmother's.)

  • This is our second pregnancy. I actually was surprised by how quickly we were able to get pregnant. I would have been 10 weeks today. :(

So we have names picked out already. For boys I like Michael, Seth, and Caleb. I also liked Jonah but it doesn't work with our last name. For girls I like Leah, Naomi, Elizabeth and Rebecca.

If you hadn't noticed, they are bible names. I love bible names. But a lot of people are not fans of the names I picked out.

Just Charley : ) I think it's adorable, and I can just picture a sweet little baby girl when I think about it!! It was the same love I had for the name Addyson, and it just fit DD so well when she was born.

I'm not a huge fan of the name Charlotte, and I have an aunt whose name is Charlotte and everyone calls her Chucky, and I'm afraid the baby would get that or people would think I named her after my aunt.

As for boys, I have no idea!

  • Ok I don't blame you at all for not naming her Charlotte! Chucky? Really? Did she grow up as Chucky? That's just not cute imo.

My daughter's name is Charlotte and she is named after her dad, my DH, Charles.  I dare someone to call our child Chucky...my mom tried to call my husband Chuckles once and yeah well it didn't go over so well.

OP-if we have a girl we're naming her Madeleine Hazel...my husband's grandmother (who passed away last week) was named Hazel and we want to honor her memory.  Madeleine is just a name I have always loved.  If it's a boy he'll be named after DH...which I am not a big fan of jr's and 3rd etc etc but it's what he wants, I am hoping he can be talked out of it.

haha!! I know, but she's always been Chucky, and I can't imagine her being anything else. But, not what I would want DD to be called!

We're using family middle names too: Daniel (my husband's middle name and FIL's first name) and Joyce (my mom's and grandma's middle name).

*****LURKING from TTGP******** Embarrassed I really hope to be joining you all soon! ;)  I ADORE Chucky as a nickname for Charlotte! I would have loved to call my Charlotte/Charley-Chuck after Pushing Daisies " Charlotte Charles was called Chuck", but my ex before dh was Chuck and it wouldn't fly, but I do call her Charles every now and then. Sorry! Back to Lurking! ********

Jinx, we have similar tastes in names, Georgeanna Hazel is my 2nd choice for a girl! ;)

  • As of right now, our boy name is Owen Matthew and our girl name is Julia Charlotte.  The middle names are family names.  Of course, that can change in 8 months!
