Babies: 3 - 6 Months

What diapers are you using?

We always used Pampers with DD1 and have started those with DD2 as well. But, I just heard first hand from a 3rd person yesterday about having to take their child to the ER for chemical burns from the "new" Pampers Cruisers. DD1 isn't in diapers anymore so I just bought small package of Swaddlers for DD2 yesterday but she really needs to move up to a bigger diaper....just wasn't sure what to buy since I'm not going to put her in Cruisers.

What diapers are you using?

Re: What diapers are you using?

  • I LOVED Pampers when DD was little.  Because of the chemical burns I refused to put them on DS.  I use cloth some, but I mainly use Target Up and Up.  I've been surprisingly pleased with them.

  • I've been using the Parent's Choice diapers (theWalMart brand). I have no leaks and no rashes with them, I am actually surprised at how well they work!

This, we are using Luvs on DD. We have been really happy with them so far

  • Target's Up and Up brand.  They work great for DS and they are much cheaper than Pampers or Huggies.
  • We are using Pampers Baby Dry, they don't have dry max.

  • We use the Huggies natural diapers - no complaints.
  • Huggies - Little Movers - but I think it also depends on the shape of your LO. We had a pack of Target diapers too and they worked well.

  • I love Target up and up .... I was a pampers person and only said I would use pampers till I switched over to up and up .... the only thing I really do not care for is the color :) I have a girl and the blue and green dots could be pink for me :)
  • I'm using Luvs...my daughter also got chemical burns from Pampers

  • Huggies Pure and Natural
  • Right now we are still using all the Pampers (baby dry) I stocked up on when I was pregnant.  We have a box of Kirkland that is next on the list to try, hopefully she hasn't grown out of them yet as we bought too many size ones.  A friend of mine uses Kirkland and really likes them.

  • LO uses Huggies.  I am still nervous to use the Pampers because of the problems the diapers were having.

  • pampers baby dry.  huggies worked as well but swaddlers & store brands give DS a rash.

  • Walgreens brand.  They work great for us (long and lean).  They run small so try a small pack first.  One Up&Up gave her a rash.
  • Luvs - used em with DS and they worked great and we haven't had any issues with DD.
  • I like Pampers as well, and I used Swaddlers for a bit, but I didn't want to risk it with the Dry Max, so I switched over to Pampers Baby Dry.  They don't have the dry max but they work really well.

We use the Kirkland brand from costco and love them.  My LO sleeps 12 hours straight through the night and :knocksonwood has never had any leakage.
  • DD got a horrible rash from the Pampers so we switched to Huggies pure and natural and love them. They are super soft!
  • We've been using Huggies Little Snugglers, but I'm seriously considering changing.  In the last case we bought, about 2 dozen of the diapers were missing the closure tabs on one side.  We contacted Huggies and they are supposed to be sending us coupons and a prepaid package to send a couple of the defectives back to them.  So far we haven't received anything 2 weeks after contacting them.

I may try the Target brand.  Pampers are too expensive, and I've never had much luck with Luvs or Parents Choice.

  • Colin got a chemical burn from the drymax too.  I really liked the way pampers fit him though so we switched to the Baby Dry and have not had a single problem since.

  • We're using Pampers Swaddlers and have used Pampers Sensitive.  We haven't had any issues with them.

I think I read in Mothering Magazine that Luvs and Pampers are made by the same company.  As long as your LOs do well in them, that's all that matters, but just wanted to point that out in case that matters to you.

We are using cloth at home (BumGenius 4.0s) and Seventh Generation at daycare.  They don't have any of the funky chemicals that regular diapers have.  I have been buying them on Amazon in bulk and they are actually 1 cent cheaper per diaper than Pampers Senstive Swaddlers. Not much, but it's something. Smile

  • Mom to Mom (Tom Thumb brand - they are actually very good! No leaks yet!), Huggies (from Costco)...we like Luvs too but don't have any currently.
  • BioBaby -

I know, probably useless because it's a mexican brand. But I love that this are biodegradable diapers (3-5 years) and most of their components are natural and have a great absorbency as well..

  • Just so you know, unless you got an older package of swaddlers they have the same dry max that the cruisers have!

We use pampers or huggies pure and natural (depending on what coupons I have)

  • It depends on what I have a coupon for. Sometimes it's Swaddlers -- we've never had an issue with drymax -- and sometimes it's Baby Dry.

My toddler is in Baby Dry.

This. Or the sensitive w/out dry max. Although I did use dry max before I knew about the possible chemical burns & we were fine. But for me, better safe than sorry.

  • I'm a poster mom for Wal Mart's Parent's Choice diapers. They have been the best for us so far, and I've used them with my toddler since she was an infant. No leaks or blowouts for us. I love them.
