This is disturbing and disgusting. I wish they could arrest people after reading blogs like this.
I for one am really happy that they found each other. I mean, if she didn't put up with it, he might be out "practicing" his techniques on a lot of women, aka serial killer style.

I think he must get off on oversharing?? I mean, this sounds more like a bedroom thing to me. I'm sure he makes wood everytime the wife is in trouble, as far as kids go, let's hope he keeps the discipline to his wife, ya know?

This is the most pathetic thing I have ever, ever, ever read when it comes to domestic violence. I am sick to my stomach thinking how sad this stupid girl is and what a psycho her husband and his friends are. I just love that its only the wife that seems to require discipline, as if the husband never does anything wrong. Seriously, she gets disciplined for back talk, BACK TALK are you f-ing kidding me?!?!?!!!!! Back talk is something you do to your parents or elders & IMO only applies to children. I would NEVER stay in a relationship where my husband or bf ever accused me of giving him back talk because I would know he's totally insane.
It should be obvious that I would never stay in one either that condones "Loving domestic discipline" either. What a crock of sh*t. Just the thought that he uses a belt & a paddle & she' continues to put up with it makes my skin crawl. I'm pretty sure my H knows that if he ever tried to discipline me with his hand, a paddle, or a belt I would turn around and knock him out then call the cops. Of course, I would say that we have a pretty damn good relationship being that we don't even consider this insanity!
I'll be totally honest that I was not the least bit surprised to see where they were from either & sorry if that's offensive.

I have a friend who pratices being a submissive wife, thanks to a book she read, and she swears it made her marriage better. I believe the only difference in the two couples is in my friend's marriage, this carries over into the kinky Dom/Sub world. To each their own. But what I wonder is why it was decided that the man gets to do all the punishing? Why is the woman always in the wrong and the one with rules to follow? There is no way I could ever live like that, and I feel bad for that girl b/c she doesn't really seem to like it as well.
Crazy. It's sad that both of them find this even remotely ok.
I can honestly say I have NO idea what it does for him. I don't understand why you would want to hear your WIFE beg you not to hit her with a belt, or to watch her cry while you do that to her!
What happens to him if he misbehaves or gets a speeding ticket??? I have to believe that he's not perfect and has gone over the speed limit before.......

It's supposed to be a partnership and if they want to do the whole domestic discipline routine then it needs to go both ways.
I'm sorry, but it's sick. In the one entry she says it hurt so bad she begged him to stop and it wouldn't and it just made it worse. That's ABUSE. The minute she said, "STOP" and he didn't- he crossed the line and the situation went from "two consenting adults" to "abuse".
I seriously question to mental state of any woman who 'wants' her husband to 'discipline' her like that- so I really don't even think the whole "Domestic Discipline" thing is legit. To me, it seems like a more PC term for abuse to try to make it acceptable.
This isn't kinky and it's not bdsm- she didn't say "He spanked me and then we went at it like wild" he's physically punishing her for things that he feels are wrong or unacceptable- that's domestic abuse. I'm not sure how these people think a man beating his wife with a belt or a switch is legal- but it isn't. I truly wish I knew these people because I absolutely would report his ass. There's women who are abused every day who are brainwashed by their abusers to think they deserve it and the men aren't doing anything wrong- this is just another example.
It's really sad. I feel really, really sad for her. She must have hella Daddy issues for her to think she wants to live like this.

At first I was disgusted by it, then I snooped a little and found another womans blog "spankedarmy wife" and her take on it is very well written and defended. She talks about getting pleasure from being "disciplined" and having her husband have control over her.
By no means do I defend this behaviour but it is ultimately their choice, and there are enough battered women out their that I don't have enought time to concern myself with women who defend domestic discipline and actually crave it. Instead I would rather concern myself with women who's choice is taken from them.
I have never witnissed domestic violence in my life and hope to never have to, but there is a diference between a SN&M type domestic discipline and an abused woman in my opinion. If they are truely enjoying this lifestyle and their children are not witness to the "discipline", than who am I to judge them.
However if their children bear witness to this behavious and "discipline" I have a huge issue with that. If it is just thier "kinky" style and does not spill over to their childrens lives than whatever.

This makes me sad. I googled domestic discipline and its about the man being the head of the household, so she is the only one that gets disciplined.
My hubby is the head of the household and I do not get spanked.

i actually read about domestic discipline a few years ago online and there was some website where it gave waaayyy too much info for people who wanted to get started or whatever. i have no idea of where to find that site now
the saddest thing about dd is that in many cases the children are forced to watch their mother get beaten. like it's supposed to teach the kids something about good marriage practices - "boys someday you too can beat your wife and girls don't cross your husbands" sooooo effing sad, can you imagine what growing up in a home like that does to kids.
this... I don't even know what to say I feel bad for them and have tons of emotions at the moment... I feel extremely confused by this... this is beyond me and I almost wish I had never read it...
I took a look at that particular blog and you're right-it's very well written and she actually says she enjoys being submissive to her husband. I don't have to live my life like that but it's hard to read about it and not hurt on the inside for the woman. No flames here.
I just feel very sad for her. Her husband is a doctor, isn't part of the hippocratic oath to 'do no harm'...I'm pretty sure that bruising your wife falls into 'harming' someone.
If this is some kind of kinky sex thing, it doesn't seem like she enjoys it very much. Either way there are definitely some psychological issues on both of their parts.
I'm totally unsurprised to see that they're from Utah too, offensive or not it's just a somewhat deserved reputation the state has.

What a cocky and self centered WIMP if this is real. She is obviously beautiful, very insecure and married a "father figure type", if this is real. He couldnt keep a real woman/wife is he wanted too! However, I think they are using this DD "title" as a way to act out thier fantasies and dont have the guts to admit it's sexual in nature and they enjoy it.
If it is real, then I hope they dont have kids and she needs to grow up and know that this isnt true love. "Rules" dont belong in a relationship and if there are any, then both parites need to have rules and punishments. He is NOT superior to her nor is he her father...They are equals and he doesnt view her as such and that is sad~

At first, I couldn't even believe it was real. This whole situation is so disturbing. I don't think it has anything to do with sex, as some people are saying. I think it is a "Man is the head of the house", "Submissive little wife" thing gone all wrong. There is no way I would ever condone this in my house! If a man ever laid a finger on me, he would be sorry he was even born.
Her most recent "journal entry" was about how she told somebody off becuase she thought it was the creepy stalker guy. And her husband beat the crap out of her for it. How is that okay?!?!?!?!?! But, then he held her. Okay, that make it all better.
I can't believe that she is so naiive to put up with this and to think that it is the way life is supposed to be.

If it genuinely was sexual in nature, ie each of the posts had ended in "we had wild crazy sex after he spanked me" I think I wouldn't be as judgemental. However, that didn't seem to be the case to me.
This reminds me a bit of the book "9 and 1/2 Weeks," which much more disturbing than the movie.
Sickening and really sad. Am I the only one who is skeptical of it? It just doesn't seem real to me. The way she describes her misbehavior and the spankings seem kind of fabricated...and the comments are from other men saying things like, " I think you need a spanking". I don't know, it kind of seems like the whole thing was written for sickos with a spanking/domestic violence fetish to get off on.

Honestly, after I saw this I had no idea whether to feel anger at the guy for "domestically disciplining" his wife, or feel sadness at her twisted response and acceptance of such a ridiculous concept, anger at her for condoning and defending his behavior or disbelief that something like this could really be happening. Or all the above. I'm seriously lost on this one.
Another knee jerk reaction I had was to refer the blog to police department in the town the blog says that they live in - but what good what that do? Clearly she would not cooperate with an arrest/prosecution of her husband.
I just pray that these two do not procreate. I cannot imagine the environment of violence a child would be exposed to. The wife chooses to stay, but a child wouldn't have a voice or a choice. Makes me want to cry just thinking about it. And it makes me thank my lucky stars that I live in the Midwest where such a concept is not part of the norm.

I've heard some pretty disturbing things in my life, but this takes the cake. I can't believe that a grown woman would let her husband treat her like that! It was like I was reading the blog of a 12 year old. She got sent to her room and stayed there even when her husband went to work!
I can't believe people want to live this way and use the bible as an excuse. I went through marriage counseling and now where in there did it say my husband to "discipline" me. We are both to respect each other. There is no respect in this at all! I agree that Dr. Phil needs this featured on a show. I'd love to hear what he has to say.
I think that'st he point - it's about power and his dominance. It's absolutely disgusting and terrifying that they both think this is normal. I worry about her in 10 years time, if she makes it that far. I worry about their children. And I worry about him escalating. *shudder*
