3) We are both of Irish descent and one day I thew out the idea of St. Patrick's Day half joking. We decided March would actually work for our schedules and decided to look into it. Unfortunately, it was on a Monday in '08 so we chose the Saturday before instead.

3) It happened to be our dating anniversary day and it landed on a Saturday, and it just worked out that way! (we got married on our 8th dating anniversary)

3) We were young and wanted to get married ASAP! But my mother convinced me to wait 6months so we could plan a beautiful wedding. 6 months happened to fall exaclty on Aug. 26th. We were married on a warm, breezy Friday evening. I'll never forget what I was feeling that day

We were planning to get married during the summer of 2007, this date fell on a Saturday and I liked the idea of 07-07-07 as our anniversary date. A bonus was that my husband can't forget the date; he is horrible at remembering anniversaries and Birthdays.
October 3rd will be our first anniversary!
I really wanted early fall but September was slammed working with sororities on a college campus
October 3rd was perfect and still warm for our wedding, which was more summery than traditional fall.

3. We wanted 9/19, but the church was being painted that weekend, so the nun stuck us with 9/12, which ended up working out perfectly with reception site, videographer, and photographer.

*Side note: The best part about our anniversary weekend this year, is that we will find out what we are having the day before our Anniversary...then we leave for a weekend away!! yeah!!!

3) How did you pick the day you were going to get married? We originally wanted a day in June, but my twin was deploying to Iraq for the first time in Feb. so we knew we'd have to act fast. We decided December because my ship would be underway in the beginning of January and wouldn't get back til after she'd left. It was the only time we could be home and all our family and friends would be home for the holidays.
2) How many years will you be married on the next anniversary? 10 years! I am so excited to celebrate this milestone!
3) How did you pick the day you were going to get married? Well.....it was about one month after my college graduation. We knew we didn't want to wait too much longer after college....The first weekend in June was already taken by a good friend so we settled for the following Saturday.

3) I finished my Masters in May, so that gave me the summer to get stuff done. Then it was just a matter of picking a date that wouldn't be too hot or too cold. The Illini had a bye on September 20th and the Bears played the next day so we could watch the game and keep socializing with everyone on Sunday. Luckily we caught the end of the Cubs game in the limo on the way from the church to pictures by a river to the reception hall (they won!).

3. I wanted an outdoor wedding so wanted a june date. MH was fine with that. we originally selected the 16th, but then realized that the 17th was Father's Day so we thought that some people may not come because of the holiday. We changed it to the 9th. of course the 9th ended up being the only day in June that it rained. Go figure.

3. I wanted the Fall weather, so we picked the second weekend in Fall. We had perfect weather that day too: 72 degrees and partially sunny! It was great for our outside wedding.

3) We had already booked a trip to Vegas then we decided later on to get married while we were there. We didn't want to do it on the 11th because that was the day after we arrived and would be too soon, and we didn't want to do it on the 13th because I am a bit superstitious, and we didn't want to do it towards the end of the trip, so Tuesday the 12th it was! lol!
