Pregnant after a Loss

when to worry about bleeding? TMI

I have had some spotting after sex a few times during this pregnancy.  I went in for a check up and the midwife assured me it was normal and that baby was doing fine.  She advised me to wait six days after sex with bleeding to have sex again.  I have been following that rule of thumb. I have only had bleeding after sex a couple of times since then.  I haven't spoken about the spotting with my husband b/c I know it would freak him out and we are barely having sex as it is.  Last night we had sex, nothing rough and I was on top controlling everything.  Afterwards he came to me and asked why he was covered in blood.  Sure enough I was bleeding.  It went from red to pink to brown and only when I wiped.  Nothing crazy.  I'm not wearing a pad or anything, but it was way more than I had the last time I had spotting.  I am feeling baby move, so I am not worried about her.  I'm worried about my cervix.  I called the nurse and I am waiting on a reply.  Is this amount something to be concerned about?

  • I would probably refrain from having sex until you got things checked out.  It could be an overly sensitive cervix, but honestly, if I was bleeding every time after I had sex, I probably would just stop doing so.

  • Being on top is a good way of getting deeper penetration, it's possible that your dh just irritated your cervix some.
