DS is obsessed with Star Wars and wants to be Boba Fett for Halloween. He wants his little brother to be something from Star Wars too, since he's too little to really care. Last year they were Mario and Luigi and they got a lot of attention for their matching costumes. I think DS is using his little brother as a prop this year!
Re: What do your kids want to be for Halloween?
We have done "matching" costumes for the past 3 years. 1 year we did Wizard of Oz with L as the Scarecrow, Kennedy as Glinda the Good Witch, and Kaydance as Dorothy. Then we did 3 little white sheep and I was Bo Peep. We got sooo many compliments and won a contest. My sister made their costumes and I made part of mine. Last year we did Cat in the Hat (L) and Thing 1 &Thing 2. I made the girls shirt and added a tutu, red sparkly shoes and red bows for their blue pigtails. I wanted to make it girly since its just a red shirt and red pants. They were super cute.
This year L is really really wanting to be Batman, Spiderman or some sort of superhero. So, Im thinking about having the girls be Wonder Woman and Super Woman. They just want something "pretty" so I showed them the pictures of each and they ok'd it.
Next year they will be a Disney Princess that they have been begging to be. I wanted to wait until the dresses from the Disney Store fit them. For 4 they are still so small so hopefully next year they will fit in an xs. Not sure what L will be next year to go with the princesses. It may be our first year we dont do a theme for all 3.
If we do the superheros I will make a super mom costume for myself.
DS - an astronaut (first, Buzz, now just an astronaut)
DD doesn't know what we're talking about, but will probably be Snow White (because we already have that dress for dress up). She sees Arial in the costume catalogs and really wants that too.
