My family is super hard to track, since it's all in Russia, but researching DH's is one hell of a lot easier.
I just found out that his 4x great grandfather is none other than David Stern "Davy" Crockett.
I believe that he needs a coonskin cap for his birthday.

That's pretty cool. I want to do my family - I am curious as to what I would find.
I do know that my great-grandmother on my mom's side was a nun at one time. Fell in love with the boiler guy had an affair, got pregnant and left the monestary (sp?). I find stuff like that fascinating.

I don't have much interesting in mine. One obscure person who signed the Declaration of Indep. and Henry Lauve, guy who designed the corvette.

I also have the Family Tree Maker software-- got the updated version for Christmas last year. Makes it 1000x easier to keep track.
