I'm posting this for Brightning because she's on vacation. I'm also posting this REALLY early because it was either now or much, much later. I'm just about to go to work, so I'll make this quick. Let's see your cute lunch/food/snacks that you've made lately!
Re: *** cute lunch check-in ***
My theme this week is hickory dickory dock. I think it was brightning that I stole the strawberry and cheesestring mice from? Anyway, it's a ham and cheese sandwich with a cheese clock front with a carrot and cherry tomato pendulum, a cucumber clock face with sprinkles and carrot stick arms. The mice are strawberries with cheesestring tail, slivered almond ears, sprinkle eyes and chocolate chip nose. Kirsten thought she had hit the jackpot by getting chocolate chips and sprinkles in her lunch! This was a little more time consuming than others I've done, but you should have seen the look on my kids face. Priceless!
I live your hickory-dickory dock lunch!!! So cute!
I didn't do a lunch this weekend, but did make a cute cake for DD's birthday party, so I'll share that -
Wall-E
Warehouse Mouse:
I'm not half as creative as you guys, but I love the inspiration!!
ETA: Wall-E is just a PBJ with olive slice eyes and cheese over his arms.
The mouse is a sandwich cut with a heart cutter, string cheese wiskers, chocolate chip eyes (or raisins). His tail is a thin piece of the extra sandwich, the ears are a smaller heart from the same sandwich cut in half. He has cheese around him cut into triangles and some raspberries because that's what DS asked for.
Ours was breakfast. I'm still a novice at this (but at least I'm trying!), so a simple flower pancake with blueberry center.
these are my 1st attempts at making food art!
Lunch today....Ham and cheese sandwich, I used a craisin for the eye an
d the stripes are steamed carrots. The coral next to Nemo are made of ham. Cheerios for the bubbles. I put it on a blue plate so it looked like water.
Dinner-The bunny ears are refried beans and shredded cheese rolled up in a tortilla. The head is a meatball and the face is made from shredded cheese, peas and 1 elbow noodle(we also had mac and cheese for dinner tonight) Peas on the bottom for grass
I made the dinner bunny because I had extra pieces after making this for tomorrow's lunch. He's going to my MIL's for the day so I needed to pack his lunch.
The same bean and cheese tortilla as the bunny ears. A cracker for the center of the flower and I put peas on each of the little holes in the crackers.
