lop sided chest and more problems!

I have been breast feeding for just over 3 weeks with my first, and my milk was coming in great for the first 2 1/2 weeks but now it seems that my son is eating alot more than I can produce so I have been suplementing him after meals to make sure he if full. I breast feed at the start of every meal to try and ensure i keep making enough milk, but latley it seems my breasts wont fill anywhere near what they use to, and to make things worse the right side doesnt seem to want to gain as much milk as the left!! so now I am left with one side being a D when its full and the other being a B cup! should I be doing something differently? I feed with the smaller one first and then the bigger in hopes he will drink as much as possible to signal my body it needs to be making more, but that doesnt seem to be working.

Also the nipple on my right side seems to be bruising when I try pumping and than it hurts until the blood under the surface subsides about an hour later. 

any ideas as to what I should be doing with that damn wimpy right breast???

Hey there, sorry for your struggles but you are doing great!  I would imagine b/c you are supplementing it is affecing your supply.  Sounds like you are pumping as well.  I had the same problem as you with not feeling like LO was full after a feeding.  So what I did was pump to increase demand and therefore increase supply.  Then what I will do sometimes is use the bm to top off LO (in a bottle). 

I also have a wimpy right breast.  Sometimes I will pump only this side to try to even this out.  It worked a little bit, but they are still uneven.  I have googled and apparently this is normal.  I try to look on the bright side and am thankful that I have a 'power boob' as I call it. 

Oh for your sore nipple...have you tried a different flange?  I had this happen (even got a blister!) and then went up one size in the flange and this is much better now.

thanks! I actually took out a pen and paper so I could write down suggestions haha I am going to try all those out and see if I can solve this little issue, much appreciated
