First Appointment

Who has scheduled their first Dr's appointment? I remember the first one seeming very late...like 8-10 weeks? Is this still the case?

Yep, unless you've had a m/c or problems before most doctors will see you around 8 weeks.

Mine is scheduled - it's Aug. 30, which will be 5w1d.  With my last pregnancy, I had my first ultrasound for dating purposes at 6w exactly.  I think it's really just individual doctor's philosophy when they see you.

My first appointment is going to be at 5w4d. It would be sooner but my doctor is out of town until then, and I've already had my b/w done. (I had my betas checked at 10DPO)

Congrats everyone! I just found out Friday. I plan to call my dr on Monday to make my first appointment. We'll see what they give me.

I'm seeing the dr this Friday. I could have gone Wednesday, but I can't get out of work that day. I'll be 4 weeks, 4 days.

I'm also a late April lurker, and my appointment is September 8.  I'll be 6w4d at that time.  The OB likes to do them between 6 and 8 weeks along.

I scheduled mine!!  I'll be 8 weeks 4 days - Sept 23rd!  Cant wait!!

My dr said I had to be in my 7th week so I'll be anxiously waiting for Sept 17th.

They're having me come in on 9/2, which seems really early. I think it's because I'm a new patient, so I'll just be peeing in a cup and filling out paperwork.

I have the same due date and the same doctor's appt date as you .

My dr's office said they always schedule the first appointment for 7 - 8 weeks along. Of couse I've already been twice and keep calling so I'm sure they're tired of me already.
