Unexplained bleeding (TMI!) ?s (a little long)

I'm hoping someone here might have had a similar experience and can shed some light on this.  I have been having some intermittent bleeding, always after a bowel movement.  Yes, I am sure it's not coming from my behind.  I talked to my midwife about it.  I had an ultrasound 12 days ago and everything looked good.  Baby is healthy. Cervix and placenta both look good. So they said not to worry.  But it continued on and off for 2 weeks.  I had an appointment yesterday, and they did a pelvic to see if they could find the bleeding.  It turns out it's coming from behind my cervix, but they have no idea exacly where or why.  They said it's probably nothing to worry about, especially since I had an ultrasound less than 2 weeks ago.  Baby is measuring right on track and the blood is not continuous or fresh (for them...it is for me after a bowel movement).  But I'm just uneasy about it.  It's really scary to see blood on the toilet paper a few times a week.  Has anyone here experienced anything similar?  Anyone know what causes there could be?  I'd feel better if I just knew what was causing it.  Thanks!
