How bad are the cramps?? If they are really painful call the doctor just to be safe.

I work for a dr's office and our doctors say that mild cramping(I had a lot in weeks 6-9) is normal and if you having brown blood that is "left over" blood from spotting. They say if the cramping is intense of you have bright red blood to call asap.
