I have very long cycles. Usually around 36 days. Sometimes as short as 32 or as long as 42. So, I went to the gyno for some tests last week to see what was causing such whacky cylces and found out that I am PG. Yay! I am almost positive that I ovulate late, which would cause such a long cycle. My last period started on July 21st, which would put me ovulating on the 4th if I had a 28 day cycle which I don't. I am almost positive that this month I ovulated on the 7th or 8th. But, I think it usually changes month to month, which is why they are all over the board. Hubby and I weren't really trying yet, I was just keeping track of it for the Doctor to see what I had going on. He was checking my hormones because I have also been losing hair for a while. But, lo and behold, I am PG.
Does that help at all? I recommend the Ovulation test kits. My BF had trouble pinpointing exactly when she Oed and was having trouble conceiving until she started using those. Now she has a 4 month old.
My cycles were 52 days from Jan to July! I got pregnant when I ovulated early at day 23! So that is still late and I would have had a 36 day cycle! Good luck!

I conceived on CD 34. I was very discouraged, b/c I felt like my body was trying to ovulate since about CD 15, but never did. My cycles aren't typically that long, but that was the second cycle post m/c.
I was only 5 months out from DD's birth before her surgery so my periods were not regular and with the stress of er surgery and our travels my cycle was a mess! I continued to chart and since my period had started a week late we assumed ovulation may (but more then likly not) we 7 days later the following month. So instead of trying around the 3rd. We waited for the 8th and ta-da bun #2 is in the oven. We only had sex on that one day and no other sex for the 2 1/2 months around it (due to hospital stays and such) so we knew for 100% sure she was conceived then.
My first pg, I conceived on around cd60 - which is probably why I miscarried according to my doc (way too long of a cycle for me). 2nd pg was on cd 21. 3rd was on cd 17 or 18.

I think it was CD26. Is it more difficult to get KU with late O or something? As long as you're charting and checking CM, it seems like it would take the same steps as getting KU with any other type of O pattern.

I got a positive OPK on CD 16 but didn't actually ovulate till around CD 29!!! I was going crazy waiting for my temp to go up! On the bright side, my husband got an extra two weeks of nookie, so he wasn't complaining!
I ovulated on CD 37 and got a positive HPT 11 days later. It was our second cycle trying, but it was the fourth month. My first cycle was 87 days long, and I DID ovulate. My charts are in my siggy.
I only got two post pregnancy AF... and so my cycle was off wack.. I think it was due to BF. Since I wanted to get pregnant in the next three cycles I used the CBFM... and It should that I ovulated on day 17.... We tried that night and the next morning of my first peak... and it worked.... I wonder now i was always late and that is why it took so long to get pg with #1

Hilarious. You are a trooper though to catch that egg on CD51!
For me it was O on CD51/52 and BFP on CD62.
