I have fallen in love with the name Sawyer for a boy. I did another poll on a different site, and found that it is now often used for girls. Wanted to get all of your opinions too. I have never met a "girl" Sawyer. Is it still Masculine?
I think if Tom Sawyer, or Sawyer on Lost. There are so many unisex names these days....is it a big deal? Thoughts?

Re: Sawyer...Boy vs. Girl?
I agree. I mean, come on. It has the word "saw" in it. I don't understand how anyone thinks of it as feminine. And it's almost an occupation name, which is a boy trend if I ever "saw" one.
I despise this name for girls, but love it for boys. I say go for it!
This.
My thoughts exactly.

I've seen it for a girl a few times (on here, not IRL) and I always think, "Ehh... really?"
This. I would never think of this for a girl!!
I don't get this name being used for a girl. Obviously I have a strong opinion since I used it for my son but I just don't think there is anything girly about it at all.
It is an occupation name!

Nice! I just thought it sounded like "someone who saws wood" I didn't realize it actuallly is! Great job, K!
