Thought on Antony?

My DH really wants Antony but I saw it will always be mispronounced and misspelled as Anthony.  Thoughts?

    Antony is the european version, if thats where you may raise the child, go ahead... otherwise use Anthony imho

    Personally, I'd go with Anthony or Anton, but not Antony.

    What about Antonio? I think Antony will be mispronounced here as Anthony.

    I don't like it. People will add the H for you...

    I have a friend named Tephanie.... pronounced TIFFANY, can you guess how often people add the S for her?

    I actually PREFER Antony over Anthony. I wouldn't mix them up at all. :)

    Agree about it constantly being confused with Anthony.  I like Anthony.

    My great grandpa's name was Antony. 100% Italian that relocated to the US in the 1920's. I love the name but I think if I used it now, people would just think its Anthony. Maybe as a middle name?

    I think the safe bet is to middle name it.

    (read: Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez- something people are more likely to know about these days) Stick out tongue

    It would be GREAT for a middle name with two syllables ending in a consonant. What do you have that fits that description?
