DH wants to name him Abraxas, and call him Brax. We are far off from TTC(about a year from now), but every now and then we throw out names to each other. I always liked the name Jack for a boy, but it seems like it's becoming fairly common nowadays. WDYT?
Re: If our next LO is a boy...
That's an interesting name. I don't mind ethnic names. Greek names tend to be pretty interesting. I have always liked Ianthe (ee-an-thee) which means Violet. I wouldn't use it, though. It would look odd with our VERY English last name.
Jack is my #2 fave boy's name.

Yikes! Even without learning the associations, Abraxus is horrendous. I think your son might actually hate you for that one--and I'm usually one to say boys don't really care about their names.
Why not worry about this when you conceive and determine for certain it's a boy? Maybe by then your husband will have developed better taste in names.

This. Same here and I live in Ohio, not PA like QueenBee who posted this...
It sounds like it's right in line with the Jackson, Jaxon, Jaxton, Paxton, Daxton, Braxton evolution.
If you are calling him Brax, most people will assume his full name is Braxton, eventhough this trend may not have been a part of your DH's thought process.
If you are looking for something MEGA- trendy, then you will want to wait until you are pregnant to come up with a name, as by then there will be a new step in this evolution (I've seen a few Maxtons popping up already, but we'll just have to wait and see)
