we bought one last summer and I immediately took the back seat out so Blaire could stand or sit on the back stood or pad, specifically for the zoo. I take it to the mall and she'll stand/sit, but usually ends up walking. Regardless, I've never used the back seat. But, with #3 due soon, I know I'm going to need the backseat put back in for Natalie. She's too little to sit/stand back there and stay in place or be safe.
It was awful getting that backseat and canopy out. Is it just as bad getting it back in? I still have the insructions... I'm just dreading that task this weekend.
Re: Who has the Sit-to-Stand PLUS?
We never put ours back in either, but I think it's just a matter of snapping the fabric back into place.
DS #2 was not quite 18 months old when #3 was born, and I thought for sure I would need to use the back seat again. Before putting it in, though, I tested him out sitting backwards on the jump seat, and buckled him in. He was just fine, and he couldn't get out of it. The best part was that my 3 year old could then squeeze in and stand there for short periods of time, so it became a triple stroller for me. You may not actually need the back seat.
