yes I know it's still early but I saw on another board that these costumes are $12 at costco right now so I think I may go ahead and get one.... below are my top picks, you can view them here

I voted for the monkey as it's too cute for words and caught my eye first!  Plus that's her nickname so I think it fits nicely, especially if you add a little girlie touch.  I can only imagine what miss A will look like in any of those adorable costumes!

I didn't vote for monkey, only b/c I've looked at the monkey costumes out there, and I don't find any of them that cute! 

(we were going to go with monkey, but now we're onto squirrel....)

I can't decide what Alexa will be either! She wore a swaddle blanket and Baby Legs to be a Ladybug last year. She was also a little Duck in the costume with her daddy where they were Duck, Duck, Goose!

(She was one duck, he carried her bath toy as the 2nd duck and he was Goose Gosich, a famous NY Yankees pitcher... A few people actually got it, and those who did, LOVED it)

Have you seen the new Pottery Barn costumes? SO CUTE! I am in love with the owl costume..... I also just got a catalog from Wishing Wear that has an adorable little spider baby costume.

I saw those at my local store! My mom wants to make Jack's costume but we both agreed those might me too good to pass up since he won't really know what's going on.

I voted nickname too...Libby is gonna be a bee because I call her "Lizzy B, my busy bee" all the time...I got her a costume on eBay for $0.99!

Such a cute (but expensive!) costume it's great that your moms are so talented that they can just make it for you!!

i voted monkey b/c it's super cute, and it's her nickname!  but having your mom make one, or going food-related, are great ideas too!!

i may need to go to costco and get that tiger costume for my unborn child   2010 is the year of the tiger (chinese zodiac) and my mom is also a tiger, and i think she would just about die if he wore that next year.  

so erm, apparently not too early to be thinking about halloween 2010, if i'm already thinking about 2011!  haha.

I want to join in on the fun but who knows when this bebe will decide to come out! She can either come out before or after halloween (EDD: Oct 24th)! ugh! If she decides to come out before halloween, I may have to order a newborn halloween outfit asap! Don't want her to miss out on her first halloween :-).

heh, i actually went to costco on saturday, and saw the costumes - they are super cute!  and Jaime, after seeing them, i change my vote from the monkey to the ladybug - it's even cuter!  

but they only go up to 6-9mo, and i'm not sure if our LO will be able to wear it next year...after i told MH, he told me to buy it anyway, and we could take pictures of him in it whenever we want   hehe.  so i may just get it anyway...

we only have 1 thing in the nursery right now - a white dresser/linen closet thing.  and i just put the first item in there this weekend - my old pooh blankie
