Vancouver for the fall/winter

Hi all.  I'm a Miami-North Carolina transplant who will be spending the fall/winter in Vancouver due to my husband's job.  I've been there to visit but never for an extended amount of time. 

I know it's going to take some adjusting being in a new city but I'd like to keep playdates happening for LO and joining a place where I can continue to workout.

I saw some meetup groups for playdates and this coupon for a fitness bootcamp. 

Google is my friend but just wondering if I'm looking in the right places.   thanks for all your help
