Multiples with different skin tones

Anyone else's babies have different skin tones?  Our son is blonde haired, blue eyed with pale skin like DH and me.  Our daughter has dark brown hair, blue eyes and an olive complexion.  It's wild!  We think our daughter's skin tone must come from DH's mom since no one else on either side has skin like that.  I know they are fraternal, so it's the luck of the genetic draw.  But I am still a bit amazed since neither DH or I have skin like that.  It's one thing I never considered being a possibility for my kids.  Maybe she won't burn in the sun!

Mine do. G has a less fair skin tone than E and G has brown eyes--DH and I both have light colored eyes (green and bluish green) and E has green eyes too. It's amazing how different they can look, not only from each other but from their own parents, too!

My boys do. Ryan is fair like me with a bit of wavy brown hair and Mason has olive skin and a full head of black hair. When they were born my OB kept saying they look nothing alike and I wasn't able to see them yet from over the sheet and it drove me crazy because I was like "I want to see them"!!!

Mine don't, obviously, but I just wanted to say that genetics are crazy! I, with my dark hair and dark eyes, who married another dark-haired and dark-eyed man, never ever imagined I would end up with light-haired, blue-eyed babies. (thanks grandpa!)

My sister nannies for twin boys who look NOTHING alike.  One is blond, blue-eyed with fair skin (like Dad).  The other is burnette, brown-eyed and olive skin (like Mom).  You would never pick these two out of a crowd as brothers.

Mine do too.  Our son has light hair, blue eyes and is lighter complected, but our daughter has dark hair, brown eyes and olive skin.  Neither of us have blue eyes, so not sure where they came from, but my hubby has olive skin and I'm pretty pale.  I think its pretty cool.

My twin brothers are similar to this!  One is very fair skinned, blonde with blue eyes and the other is olive-skinned with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes!  People can't believe they are brothers - let alone twins!  Still not sure where Christopher's olive skin came from... we're all pale!

DD had black hair and somewhat olive skin when she was tiny.  DS also had black hair, but was super fair.

Today, they're both super blonde -- all the black hair fell out after 2 months or so.  DD tans like a brazilian, lol, but DS is super pale.  Both DH and I are fair-skinned, but DH's mom is very olive.

Yup, I've got babies like that!  One baby has slightly olive skin with dark eyes, the other has pale skin with blue eyes.  I am Asian, and my husband is from Northern Europe.  We thought both babies would be a mix of our ethnicities, but it looks like we got one Asian baby and one European baby!

After reading the other responses, now I am curious to see how things change in the next few months.... The idea that their dark dark hair could fall out and grow back in blonde is wild.  My DH had platinum blonde hair as a child, so I guess it is possible.  How crazy would that be.... My Asian self carting around two blonde children.  People are going to think I'm the nanny!

Ditto here. My baby A, Lauren... has gorgeous black/dark hair and dark olive skin.  My baby B, Kate...is rosy and fair, with strawberry blonde hair.  L looks like my hubby and K looks like me.  we have 1 "mini me" of each of us.

audrey looks just like dh (but much lighter) who is black & native american.  she has lighter hair and a much more olive tone.  vivienne has attributes of both of us (i'm a whitey) but has dark hair and a more pinky tone. 

people always say, "are they twins???  no, they don't look alike."   grrr.

Yes, mine have different skin tones as well. DD has olive skin and dark hair, DS has very fair skin and light hair - almost a strawberry blond. We are noticing their skin reacts differently also, DD currently has tons of baby acne and gets heat rash on the back of her neck and DS's complexion is perfect! I have a feeling DS will burn in the sun (just like me - fair skin!) and DD will get a nice tan (just like DH!)

Mine are a little different--Will has light blond hair, clear blue eyes and is super-fair while Alex has dark brown hair, gray/blue marbled eyes and is less fair. Not that dramatic a difference though. I burn like crazy so I would love to have olive skin!

Our twins have different skin tones too. Lily is very light and fair like my older DD and I and Max is more olive. Genetics are crazy, I have brown eyes and my  husband has very light green eyes and we have 3 blue eyed children. I never thought I would even have one with blue eyes.

Mine do. Audrey has hazel eyes and more olive skin. Violet has blue eyes and lighter skin. My DH Is fairer than I am with green eyes, and I have a darker skin tone with black hair and dark brown eyes. They really don't look much alike!

We've got a Mexican and a white boy (dh is Hispanic). We joked before they were born that if one came out looking Hispanic and one white we'd call the Hispanic one michael and the white one Miguel. Alas it remained a joke.

My cousin had twins who at birth looked identical.  One is Jose and one is Alexander.  Jose lost the dark hair and his eyes stayed blue and is fair like mom.  Alexander is darker with dark hair and brown eyes.  I think they will be teased about this forever!

Check out my siggy pic. I have a tan brown haired, brown eyed little girl, and a fair skined, light brown peach fuzzed baldy girl with blue eyes. They couldn't look any more different! One even has an outie belly button, while one has an innie!

My cousins twin girls are mexican and irish...one girl looks mexican and the other looks more irish (even has reddish hair).

A set of b/g twins I went to college with were italian/irish...the girl looks irish w/blonde hair blue eyes and freckles and the brother is very olive skin and black hair...the only thing simialr is they're both gay  and love the color blue...but like midnight metallic blue...not flat navy :-)

Yes! Julia has blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin; Audrey has a full head of dark brown hair, big blue eyes and olive skin (I think her eyes will turn brown). The first thing the doctor said when Julia was delivered is "wow! they look nothing alike!"

I could have written this post!!! My DD (age 3) was born with olive skin but since my mom and DH's dad have darker skin tones we were not too surprised. DH and I both have medium to fair skin. I have dark brown eyes and DH has green. Now it's looking like Sawyer will be fair skinned with blonde hair and blue eyes (after my dad and DH's mom) and Noelle will look like her big sister with the olive skin and dark brown eyes. Their features are even vastly different!!
