If you could do 1 thing in Disney World with your 4 year old DD. What would you do?

We are going to Florida in January to visit family so we are going to do Magic Kingdom for 2 days.  Keira will be just shy of 4.  What is the 1 thing I should do with her that I should book?

Re: If you could do 1 thing in Disney World with your 4 year old DD. What would you do?

  • Princess Breakfast..but need to book super early as well as the Bibbity Boppity Boutique...Best $55 I ever spent.  Her hair lasted for 3 days until I took it out, while swimming too.  She loved the whole experience
  • Oh good question.  I hope you get some answers!  We are going in November.  I am still planning so here are some things in Magic Kingdom that I am considering.  really trying to get a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table.  It is in Cinderella's castle and hard to get a reservation to. My DD (4yo) adores Cinderella (well any Princess but Cinderella is her favorite).  There is also the Bippidy Boppidy Bootique which is a hair salon run by the Fairy Godmother.  They do hair, make-up and nails for Princesses.

  • I agree with the pps. The castle and the BBB! I already know when I take DD to MK we will do those things! I am thinking that we'll go to the BBB first and do the top package (costume and everything- its close to $200) and then go to the castle to eat and meet FG and the Princesses for breakfast. At least I am hoping the timing will work out even if we have to have a (light) bite to eat before the BBB appt. I think the expereince will be well worth it for my DD!
  • We are going for our second year in a row and planned one day the same as last year...an appt. at the Bibidi Bobidi Boutique first thing and then lunch with the princesses at Epcot.
  • The princess lunch at Epcot!  Everytime we go to Disney, we always go to storytime with Belle (magic kingdom).
  • If you are only doing the Magic Kingdom, then Cinderellas Royal Table.  But the Epcot Princess lunch is better.  There are  bunch of princesses at that one. I don't really like the one at the castle, there is not enough character interaction. My dd would actually rather just wait in lines for characters all day long so she sees them all.

We have been to Disney at least twice a year every year but this one, and i still can't get dd to go to the BBB.  She hates having her hair messed with.

  • Here are our things on our list to do at Magic Kindgom.   Loved the BBB and Cinderella's Royal Table would have been great (but we did the breakfast at Epcot--DD loved).  The night time parade and firework show was fabulous!  Well worth staying up for.

  • We went to Cinderella's castle for The Royal Table.  We went for lunch time.  They take a picture with Cinderella which they print out and they give to you during your meal.  They put it in a dual-fold paper frame.  They get a plastic wand, boys get a sword.  Then during lunch ALL the princesses came out, one by one, and went to each and every table for a picture and to sign their autograph book(if they have one).  I have heard that if you want to see all the princesses then go for breakfast or lunch.
  • Definitely lunch with the princesses! It was the best time I had with DD1 ever! Bought her the beautiful dress and made her the princess she is. She is still wearing the dress and talking about our day together. It's expensive, but SO worth it!
  • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. We took her there on her 4th birthday and Muffin LOVED it. She really felt cool when castmembers did special things for her while she was dressed up. For example, some asked for her autograph.

Also, once you get her all princessed up, you can take her to Exposition Hall for a "photo shoot." We had bought the Photo Pass cd before we left for our trip, so ALL of the pictures from the photoshppt were on there.

The photographer got my bid ole burley redneck hunter husband to wear my Minnie Mouse ears (with a red bow) and pose with his toes pointed and his hands folded under his chin while Muffin is doing the mirror image of the pose next to him. It. Is. Priceless.

  • Definately do Bibbdi Bobbdi Boutique!!  My 4 year old loved it.  We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast, then the boutique at 11 ish (the fairy godmothers do a whole demo and lessons on how to be a princess!!!)  My daughter pranced aroudn the park for the whole day!  She chose Tiana's dress and Tiana and the Prince made teh biggest fuss over her when she got their autograph.  We did the Royal Table for a late dinner but it worked out great b/c we got pics of her all dressed up with the princesses, and pics of her watching the fireworks at the wondows in the castle surrounded by all of the princesses!  It looked like a commercial for Disney, haha.
  • This is great to know for the future
