She just called me and said that one of her cats was dead.
He was only 4 years old, and was perfectly fine when she went to bed last night. She has been sick for the last few days, and has been in bed all morning with the TV on and the blinds drawn, so it was dim.
She said that her other 2 cats were sitting on the bed looking at the floor. She went to see what they were staring at, and she found poor Yuri stiff as a board next to her desk chair.
He's her favorite cat and she's pretty upset. I am sad for her. :-(
He's a Russian Blue, so I wonder if his purebred self had some sort of genetic heart thing, or if he had a seizure or something. She did say that he peed himself. Poison isn't as likely, because she's got everything put away because her house is on the market.
Re: My poor mom.
In the 30 years or so that we've had cats, this is the first time she's ever lost one without it being sick first.
I am just bummed because she's already miserable because we're here and she's still in MD waiting for her house to sell.
I'm sending her some fleurs.

Thanks for that info. I passed it on to my mom, and she didn't know that about Russian Blues. She said to tell you it makes her feel better.
