Why am I shopping for baby bedding...

...and nursery furniture, and diaper bags...on CD1?  AF literally just started, and here I am looking at baby stuff.  I have a problem. 

I just discovered BabyAge.com and now I'm obsessed.  They have really good prices, and I found a diaper bag that I really like that I've never seen anywhere else.  (Not that I've been looking...)

I totally understand what you mean.  I starting looking at Vera Bradley diaper bags and then I realized what I was doing and made myself stop.  That was 2 months ago and I have not looked at another thing.  I just cannot do that to myself.  I have not felt too crazy about getting pregnant until last week, now I am trying hard to not think too much about it.  I took a 4 day break from the bump just to chill out.

I totally do the same thing! I'm a huge planner just in general, so feel like it will be of use when I finally do get pregnant!

I do this...but I was worse with it when we wanted to TTC, but weren't actually TTC yet.  I had my entire nursery picked out   Now that we're officially trying, and I've been on this board for a while and am starting to realize that it might not be as easy as I'd thought, I've chilled out a lot.  But definitely still catch myself every now and then

I was guilty of this while we spent a year TTC #1. I would also torture myself by walking through the baby sections at Target/Walmart/"insert any store here" too. Then I got my heart set on a certain set of bedding, and when I finally got pregnant with my son, the bedding I was drooling over for so long was being discontinued.

I do the same thing online and in stores. Whenever I'm at Target I find myself trying to come up with reasons to walk by the baby section, or gee the aisles are so packed I have to walk through it. Thankfully DH usually tries to bring me back to reality.

I know what you mean.  I have an entire file folder on my desktop filled with nursery ideas and clothing, etc.  I have already bought some small stuff, like photo frames and bibs and onesies.  But Monday, DH's boss dropped off her glider, so now we have that in our spare room. . .and DH swear's it smells like babies-LOL! 

Anyhow, we haven't even been TTC yet.  We start next month!  Thanks for the tip though, I am going to check that website out!

Petunia Picklebottom bags are cute, and 1/2 off is a great deal!  I've already decided that when I get KU my present to myself will be a diaper bag.

oh ladies. i am here to make you all feel better... i have been obsessed with a round crib... but i decided bad idea not practical etc. So i gave up on that idea.

then one day a baby boutique had one in the window so i rationalized my way in in my head and sure enough it was a floor model and it was 50% off... oh man to make matters better it's not a crib just a bassinet. (which is even better!)  so I called DH at work and explained we'd likely need both.. 

needless to say at 50% off i am ashamed (kind of) and ecstatic (mostly cause i got what i wanted)....but i bought it... slinking away now...

I also did this prior to my engagement with wedding gowns.  Maybe I was a tad on the over anxious side but it was fun to play "pretend".

I have a PPB diaper bag for my daughter and I love it!  I want to buy another one (for what IDK) but my H has put the ax on that  

Where did you get yours half off?  Hmm, maybe I could justify a 50% off sale to my H........

I already HAVE two bedding sets(got them for amazing deals$16 and $15 from Target clearance.)

I also have a snugrider plus(orig price was like $140 got it for $35 again from target)

I have a Britax car seat that I honestly bought so I could resell it but haven't had any buyers yet. (reg price $340 got for $150)

Oh and a pack an play that was onsale from $120 to $60.

I justify by only getting items that are 50%+ off and things that won't expire

You are not alone! I have a folder on my desktop (just like PP) FILLED with ideas and a closet with a special "baby section" of things I HAD to have!! Don't get me started about the time I spend on baby websites...a fav of mine is LaylaGrayce.com...

I was soooo bad during my first cycle! I bought a vera bradley baby bag, a phillies onesie and workout tapes for each trimester (each of these was on sale!) but now that I didn't get pregnant my first cycle like I though I would because I was very naive, I've calmed down!

oh yea I def get you. Syn just shakes his head. When I called him down to bring the snugrider in his face was priceless!!   I got most of those things when we were "TTA".  Now I just call him and say ...soooo I see a great deal should I get it now??  I saw a pottery barn changing table on sale for like $100 down from 300, but he said that could wait.  We have a deal now, I call him to let him know about anything I plan on getting that's over $100 even if it's like 75% off. 

I am such a sale addict though, so now instead of getting stuff on sale for myself, I get it for our phantom child..getting an early start on that selfless thing...lol
